I am looking into Howe Insurance Services and read through the agency agreement. They have a very restrictive non-compete. You cannot write with any company they have a contract with for a year after you leave them, whether or not you are appointed with that company or not. Does anyone know if they actually hold agents to this agreement or are they good about releasing agents, at least for the companies that agent is not appointed with?
