I started a thread specifically about Jackson National, but reading a few posts mentioning that this does happen, I thought a more general thread might be helpful to me.
Can any of you comment on claims and debiting & crediting interest on policy loans. The policy in question (pre1987) has always debited interest daily and credited interest annually on the anniversary date. In my personal experience, the company manually adjusts the interest at the time of the claim.
Jackson National is saying they will not, this is resulting in a significant loss for this beneficiary, approximately 30%
