Commissions for Small Commercial Insurance

I'm interested in learning about commissions for small commercial insurance (<$50K premiums).

What are standard base commission percentages? Does this vary much by policy type, new business vs. renewal, etc.? How common and what are typical supplemental/contingent commissions?
