I helped a client out who moved to SC and picked up a $25 non-resident license. The client since moved out of SC and I didn't bother to renew the license. Now I have a request to help a family member of a client who lives in SC. Going to pick up a license again I'm being faced with the $25 fee plus a $250 penalty. What's the story with the crazy extra cost?
