Any thoughts on how this proposal from HHS will impact USHealth Advisors AKA Freedom Life Insurance?
The main point being, STM will be limited to 3 months with no option to renew. Currently, USHealth Advisors has a back end 6 month STM (renewable for another 6 months) on their indemnity plan. It's just enough to get someone over the hump to an ACA plan the following year.
Excerpt from ruling to go into effect 1/1/17:
To address the issue of short-term, limited-duration insurance being sold as a type of primary coverage, the proposed regulations revise the definition of short-term,
