So today at an appt I had my first doctor who was gung ho for MAPD. As usual, he was just cheap, and when i explained the HDF he stuck to original Medicare.
But, he was telling me how in HMO's the primary care physician selected gets payment from the mapd every month no matter if they see the bene. or not And how they build an income stream from that.
I mean.. with all fraud waste and abuse training im forced to do this time of yr. that seems fishy to me.
If you cant beat them, might as well join them.
