I'm newly licensed and have been doing a lot of research on how to start in the insurance world. I definitely want to go independent with my own company but I've been noticing that almost all clusters and online wholesalers are requiring experience and a book of business. Although I lack those qualities, I have been in the mortgage industry for about 3 years. I also have family members in the mortgage industry who are branch managers and together their branches produce anywhere from 45 - 60 loans a month and they're willing to use me as their preferred insurance agent for the HOI policies.
