Establishing Credibility

What do you do to establish credibility with prospects?

This thread could go in any forum but figured I would put it here and see what happens.

I find it humorous when agents ask for "power phrases" or "What close works for you?". If this were the 1920's and you were selling Watkins products door to door that approach might work.

Whether you sell F2F or over the phone, no one will buy unless they trust you.

I don't mind sharing what works for me, but curious what others have to say about the process.
