So often people look me in the eye and tell me "BUT IM GONNA BE CREMATED" as if that means cremation is free. So I remind them its $1500 for cremation and $300 for the urn even if they ARENT buried.
The other one that cracks me up is "The VA is gonna pay for it all"--and I printed off the VA benefits off their site--they do nothing of the sort.
There are also costs for
* Attorney fees for will or other issues
* Filing fees from the state for a will
* Transportation of the deceased to the provider
* Travel/lodging costs for relatives
* Moving or trashing the deceased belo
