So I met a fella today that has a policy with AARP. It was a simple replacement but he couldn't fund his paperwork. So we called them to obtain the certificate number for the replacement form. Evidently as of a couple weeks ago they no longer provide policy numbers over the phone for ahem...security reasons. What a crock of crap. SNL said to just put his ssn on the form instead. This has absolutely nothing to do with security and everything to do with their crummy product getting replaced all the time.
