Aetna buyout of Humana is scheduled for 2016 last i heard. Aetna broker manager told a group recently that all Humana will become Aetna, but she's a ding a ling. I wouldn't put it past her to say that just to get newbie agents to salivate with $$ signs. You could view this as a royal headache if you have a good bloc of Humana business or a great opportunity if you want to greatly expand your BOB. I'm tired of flipping over the business when the takeovers or significant drop in benefits occur.
