"Cost per Lead" costs you more than you think. You should be focusing on Cost per Sale.
Would you pay $150 to make $110?
You can buy a shared auto policy lead for a low $7.50 cost per lead but how many of those can you convert? We havent heard of anyone proving and sustaining a shared-lead conversion rate higher than 5%. But lets go ahead and assume that every agent is closing 5% of shared leads (one of every 20 shared leads purchased). If you close one of every 20 shared auto leads your Cost per Sale is $150. [I]Check it: 20 leads x $7.50 cost per lead = $150
