Occidental IMO Holding on to Commission?

I am currently appointed with Occidental(part of American Amicable). To get my renewals and as earned every month I need to call or email in to the IMO and request it to be released. I find this tiresome and a waste of valuable time. Sometimes I have to ask several times because I get no response. I do not have this issue with anyone else. I get concerned about this as this is my commission and the IMO should have no authority to hold on to it.

Anyone else have this issue with Occidental or any other carrier? Is it really a non-issue?
Would you switch your IMO?
