I Heard this week from an agent that the FCGS has changed this year. In the past it was marketed as an independent organization that was supposed to "look out" for the benefit of funeral consumers who were members. You could become a member by paying a monthly fee or a lump sum lifetime membership. You also had the membership built in to your premium if you purchased a policy from Lincoln Heritage.
The new change is that they no longer allow people to join. They are now just a feature of Lincoln Heritage policies.
