The other thread came to mind today when I got this call. Neither of them eligible for Medicare due to not enough quarters. He farmed. She was a teacher. Sole income is her retirement at $2500/mo. They are eligible for $1250/mo in subsidy. He is applying for VA, but just starting that process. I suggested he get coverage via exchange plans until that comes through.
